ADDING “FUEL” TO FIRE AT STANCO FAIR!

“Fuel”

July 6, 2024

Turlock, CA (April 25, 2024) – Get ready to rock as multi-platinum rock band Fuel takes the Modelo Free Variety Stage at the Stanislaus County Fair on July 6th. Concert Series is brought to you by Black Oak Casino and Resort. With hits like “Hemorrhage (in My Hands)” and “Shimmer”, Fuel promises a performance that will leave fans craving more.

“Don’t miss your chance to experience Fuel live in concert at the Stanislaus County Fair. Get your discounted tickets April 27th for a night of rock music and new Fair memories!” said Jose Piña, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair.

Destiny unfolds unexpectedly. However, it pushes us exactly where we’re supposed to be at just the right time. In this respect, you could say the 2021 rebirth of GRAMMY® Award-nominated multi platinum rock band Fuel was simply meant to be. After rebuilding their brotherhood, founder, guitarist, and main Fuel songwriter Carl Bell and longtime drummer Kevin Miller didn’t just celebrate their history together. They rushed into the future joined by new blood—Aaron Scott [lead vocals, guitar], Mark Klotz [guitar, vocals], and Tommy Nat [bass, vocals]—and armed with their first album together in 18 years, Ånomåly.  Future songs and albums are presently in the works as well.

Much like the title suggests, it serves as the aberration rock music needs. “We’re excited to start a new chapter,” smiles Carl. “We wanted to honor those fans who have been there since day one, but progress forward and ask ourselves, ‘What would Fuel sound like in the present day?’ We found a mix of the past and the present, and we looked into the future. By definition, an Ånomåly is something peculiar, different, and, most of all, unexpected. A year ago, I had no idea this would happen. Now, I’m in a band with Kevin again and a bunch of hungry guys. It’s an interesting time.”

So, how did it happen? Well, Carl’s cell phone rang out of the blue one day. Despite an almost-religious aversion to answering unknown numbers, he picked up. It was Kevin. Over a few years, one phone call led to another before they finally agreed to meet in person in 2018. The two longtime friends understood one another like never before.

“We were just patient with each other,” Carl observes. “From the first conversation, I recognized the same feeling in Kevin’s voice. Fuel was huge for us. It was a great moment in our lives, and Kevin was as grateful for the opportunities that Fuel gave us as I was. We bonded on that fact. I would’ve taken a bullet for him—I still would. Kevin had been jamming with Aaron, Mark, and Tommy, and he was like, ‘I promise you. You’re going to have a great time with them’. I’m proud to say these dudes were as advertised,” Carl grins.

“I vividly remember placing that first phone call to Carl,” recalls Kevin. “I was sitting in my kitchen and thinking about all of the memories I had with Fuel. I was so proud of everything we accomplished. I thought of the early days in an RV. We spent hours playing video games and laughing so hard we had tears in our eyes. Shortly after, I remembered some situations and realized I didn’t do a great job handling them. I felt compelled to call Carl and tell him how sorry I was. He was very surprised it was me. I said my peace and apologized. He offered the olive branch, which I graciously accepted. We would periodically call each other and check in until we met up in person, laughed, cried, and made amends. The rest is history. We picked up better than ever.”

Starting in 2020, and into 2021, the album was recorded out of Carl’s personal studio, as well as vocals being recorded at Soundmine Recording Studio and King Studios in Pennsylvania. Carl’s songwriting had sharpened in the past decade, and it also marked the first time Carl took full reins as the album was written, produced, and even mixed by Carl.   In 2024, Fuel then returned to Soundmine and began recording even more material and performing the new songs live.

Fuel vocalist Aaron Scott was a contestant on The Voice, and won his place on that show by singing Fuel’s song “Hemorrhage” live on the air.  That performance won him a place on judges Blake Shelton’s team.  Soon the band contacted Aaron and began discussing opportunities for Aaron to become Fuel’s lead singer.   “Carl and Kevin came to me with a life-changing opportunity,” says Aaron.  “I’m honored the pay deep respect and homage to the previous Fuel songs, while performing and writing new material with Carl as well.  We are excited to see what the future brings.” Aaron has been performing with the band now since 2021.

“ALL TIME LOW AT THE STANISLAUS COUNTY FAIR!”

“All Time Low”

July 13, 2024

Turlock, CA (April 11, 2024) – The Stanislaus County Fair is honored to host All Time Low, a band that has captivated audiences worldwide with their unforgettable performances. Performing live on  Modelo Free Variety Stage, All Time Low is  an American rock band known for their energetic performances and genre-defying sound.

“All Time Low has a unique ability to capture the pop-punk sensibilities with catchy hooks, creating a sound  that sets them apart from their peers” said Jose Piña, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair.

Throughout a catalog streamed nearly half-a-billion times and highlighted by multiple gold and platinum certified singles / albums, All Time Low have continually raised the bar for both pop and punk. Since 2003, the group has notched five straight Top 10 entries on the Billboard Top 200, spanning the gold-certified Nothing Personal [2009], Dirty Work [2011], Future Hearts [2015], and Last Young Renegade [2017]. The latter attracted tastemaker acclaim from the likes of Rolling StonePaste, and more as the band canvassed the world, headlining arenas on three continents.

2019 saw All Time Low celebrating the anniversary of Nothing Personal, an album that’s influence remains prevalent with Rock Sound citing its impact on Fall Out Boy, 5 Seconds of Summer, and more. After nearly two decades together, All Time Low rekindled the spark they first ignited in a Baltimore basement on their 2020 full-length studio album, Wake Up, Sunshine.

These four lifelong friends walked into a tiny room, plugged in, and turned up with the same spirit, but with more experience, and proficiency gained from performing to millions worldwide. As a result, they delivered Wake Up, Sunshine, a captivating body of work featuring the hit single “Monsters” (feat. blackbear), which spent 18 weeks atop Billboard’sAlternative Airplay chart and became the longest charting song ever on the Alternative Radio Mediabase chart. A brand-new version of “Monsters” was released at the end of 2020 featuring both blackbear and global super star Demi Lovato. “Monsters” recently earned All Time Low nominations for “Alternative Song of the Year” and “Alternative Artist of the Year” at the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards, in addition to nominations for “Top Rock Song” at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards and “Favorite Rock Artist” at the 2021 American Music Awards.  In 2021, the band returned with new singles “Once In A Lifetime” and “PMA” (Feat. Pale Waves).

“The Commodores”

July 8, 2024

Turlock, CA (April 4, 2024) – The Stanislaus County Fair is thrilled to announce that the iconic band The Commodores will be headlining this year’s entertainment lineup. The Grammy Award winning group will bring their timeless hits performing on the Modelo Free Variety Stage.

“Get ready for an unforgettable night of soulful melodies and electrifying performances!” Said Jose Piña, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair.  Renowned for their chart- topping singles including “Brick House”, “Easy” and “Nightshift”, The Commodores have captivated audiences worldwide with their soulful melodies. The Concert Series is presented to you by Black Oak Casino Resort, Escape your everyday!

For five decades, the Commodores have remained a force in the music industry. “The Legends of Motown”, “Hit, After Hit, After Hit”, “Grammy Award Winners”, “All the Emotion, All the Excitement”, “If You Haven’t Seen Them Live, You Haven’t Heard The Commodores”.

The Commodores aren’t just any group. They have staying power. Just like their hit song “Brick House,” the Commodores have created a foundation that just won’t budge. After churning out hit after hit in the Motown days, the Commodores still hadn’t achieved Grammy recognition. This wasn’t to be until 1986, without Lionel Richie, when the Commodores released “Night Shift”.

In 1968 the group was formed while all the members were in college at Tuskeegee Institute. After being discovered by Berry Gordy, the Commodores went on to sell over 60 million records for Motown. With hits like “Machine Gun” and “Sail On”, the Commodores became proven artists. They proved it then. They proved it in 1986 with

“Night Shift”, and now they are ready to prove it again. Unlike many other groups, the Commodores haven’t rested on their early hits. Quite the contrary, the Commodores have continued to put out quality work. With the creation of their new label, the Commodores released Commodores Hits Vol. I, Commodores Hits Vol. II, Commodores Christmas, and Commodores XX-No Tricks.

The newest CD “Commodores Live” was recorded during the groups 1997 U.S. tour and released in December 1998 along with the TV special of the same name.

The Commodores believe in their work, but they are not the only ones:

“Seventies phenoms return with a self produced album filled with some great music. The Commodores look set for a fantastic return.” …BRE Music Report

“Venerable pop/R&B band issues its first single in five years engaging vocals woo with warmth and restraint.” …Billboard

The successful Commodores of the present have not only produced six new albums, and embarked upon a world-wide tour, but have created their own record label, Commodores Records and Entertainment. Today the Commodores stand not only as talented and successful musicians, but as artists determined to continue their success

into the future.
