    Gary Allan

In Nashville, before anyone ever referred to the southern end of Broadway as SoBro, the Hillsboro Village neighborhood boasted Sunset Grill, a restaurant that during the 1990s proved as integral to Nashville recorded music as other metropolitan eateries that over the years became legendary hubs for creative businesses in New York and Los Angeles. It was a sprawling and long-lunchy and late-dinnerish breadbaskets-and-virgin-olive-oil thing.
“In the mid- ‘90s,” the California-born country star Gary Allan recalls, “I would go find my whole record label at Sunset Grill. People called it The Devil’s Triangle back then. Most songwriting would stem from showing up there then winding up at somebody’s house at midnight.” In 2015, when the restaurant closed, The Nashville Scene dubbed Sunset Grill a “grand ‘90s lady.”
Ruthless’, Allan’s new album and his most commanding work ever, tells the story of the move of the Nashville country business — often as confusing as it has been successful — from the 1990s to right now, when it hums along silently, smack in the middle of what industry folks call The Streaming Era. Night Ranger

The band began writing the album in early 2020, amid the onset of the global pandemic. After narrowing down the song selection and tightening them up to their well-known rock ‘n
roll sound, the band hit the studio, although separately, due to the times we are in. Throughout “ATBPO”, we hear Night Ranger continuing their hot streak that kicked off with 2011’s “Somewhere In California”. Ten years on, and two highly acclaimed albums later, “High Road” and “Don’t Let Up”, the band’s latest studio work shows them still burning with that high octane hard rock energy they are known for. Night Ranger has always had a knack for killer melodies, intricate instrumentation, and captivating lyrics; “ATBPO” delivers all of that and more. Read more!

    WAR

    THE YEAR WAS 1969…
And these ‘kids’ had the nerve to carry the name WAR at a time when peace was the slogan in an anti-Vietnam America. “Our mission was to spread a message of brotherhood and harmony”. Original Band Members included; Lonnie Jordan/singer/keyboardist, Howard Scott/guitars/ vocal, Lee Oskar/harmonica, B.B. Dickerson/bass vocals, Harold Brown/drums/ vocals, the late Thomas “Papa Dee” Allen/congas/timbales, and Charles Miller /saxophonist/flutist.
“Our instruments and voices became our weapons of choice and the songs our ammunition. We spoke out against racism, hunger, gangs, crimes, and turf wars, as we embraced all people with hope and the spirit of brotherhood. It’s just as apropos today” WAR, the original street band, was brought together by veteran record producer Jerry Goldstein (“My Boyfriend’s Back”, “Hang On Sloopy”, “I Want Candy”) and rock legend Eric Burdon (ex-lead singer of the top British band The Animals). “I first saw some of the guys who would eventually become WAR playing at a topless beer bar in the San Fernando Valley, backing Deacon Jones, the pro football player, and knew immediately how potent these kids were,” states Goldstein. “I was friends with Eric and he was ready to throw in the towel on the music scene and return to Newcastle. He was tired of the ‘rock’ thing and desperate for a fresh authentic sound. I called him the morning after I first saw the band and made him return to the club the next night with me. Eric was so blown away by what he had heard that he jumped on stage to jam with them. The guys weren’t familiar with Eric or The Animals. I had them in the studio within a week, and the rest is history!” Read more!

    Luis Coronel

LUIS CORONEL BiographyLuis Miguel Gamez, better known as LUIS CORONEL, is one of the most renowned young exponents of the Mexican regional genre today in both the United States and Mexico. Luis is originally from Tucson, Arizona of Mexican parents and is the youngest of three siblings.

A few years ago, in 2012, while still a teenager and as his ‘millennial’ generation does, Luis used social networks to make friends, share photos, videos and connect with a group of followers who would eventually become his fans. At that time, Luis did not imagine that through his interactions on the networks, he was preparing to formally start a career in the world of music.

His biggest surprise happened when, after posting his own version of the song by Mexican composer Horacio Palencia “Mi Niña Traviesa” on Facebook, the next day he woke up to discover that his publication had received thousands of ‘likes’ on the social network, becoming in a ‘viral video’. In this way, Luis began in the world of entertainment.

Since then, he has conquered the Billboard Charts with his music, has become a personality in the most popular television programs in Mexico and the United States, and has had endless tours alongside important figures such as Gerardo Ortiz, LosRecoditos and Banda El Recodo like the one he performed in 2013.

    Bone Thugs-N-Harmony

In 1991 a group of 4 young street hardened boys by the name of B.O.N.E. Enterpri$e used their musical talents to obtain one way bus tickets to make their way out from the rough city of Cleveland, Ohio. They headed out to Los Angeles and were determined to perform for the top record labels at the time. They constantly called in to prove themselves. Their efforts paid off when they rapped over the phone to legendary N.W.A. member, Eazy E, who owned Ruthless Records. They displayed their melodic rapid fire lyrics with group harmony.
Eazy E who was having a show in their hometown sent the group back on the bus to sign contracts under a new name, Bone Thugs -n- Harmony. While the group name changed the boys kept their aliases Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, and Wish Bone
Eazy put them on a fast track to display their talents to the world. In 1994 the boys cranked out their debut EP “Creepin On Ah Come Up” with hit singles “Thuggish Ruggish Bone” and “Foe Tha Luv of $” which featured their mentor, Eazy E and Layzie’s brother Flesh-n-Bone. The group’s style brought a breath of fresh air to hip hop at the time that the album went double platinum in a few months. It didn’t take long for them to release their second album E.1999 Eternal which told more stories of their lives in Cleveland. Shortly before the release of the album, Eazy E passed away.

    Sugar Ray

Everything continues to change. Leaders cycle in and out of office. Trends fall in and out of style. Vinyl dies and comes back to life. Television shows go off the air and end up somewhere on the internet.

However, Sugar Ray might just outlast them all.

After over three decades, a world without the group—co-founded by Mark McGrath [vocals] and Rodney Sheppard [lead guitar]—feels downright unfathomable. Beyond sales of 10 million records, four top 10 songs, streams in the hundreds of millions, and millions of tickets sold, the band embody the endless summer of popular music and culture.

How many artists still pack sheds a whole generation removed from their genesis? How many acts can claim sharing the stage with The Rolling Stones, KISS, and Sex Pistols, collaborating with Run-DMC, and being interpolated by Post Malone?

We need Sugar Ray now more than ever…

    Sean Kingston

Dedicating nearly his entire life to music and achieving superstardom when he was just 17, Sean Kingston has amassed an untold amount of experience as a singer/songwriter over the years. On his third-full length album Back 2 Life, the 23-year-old builds on that experience by greatly expanding his songwriting role, nixing the multi-producer approach of his last release, and pushing for a fresh new sound. Like his 2007 self-titled debut (featuring the double-platinum breakout hit “Beautiful Girls”) and sophomore album Tomorrow (featuring the smash singles “Fire Burning” and “Face Drop”), Back 2 Life fuses reggae, hip-hop, R&B, and electro to create melody-soaked pop. But on Back 2 Life, the singer/songwriter blends his newly strengthened vocals with fiercely inventive effects and hard-hitting live instrumentation—a formula that’s yielded his most passionately inspired work to date.
“This album’s a really honest reflection of where I’m at in my life right now,” says Kingston. “I’m proud that it shows everything, because it shows my growth too.” Teaming up with Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem, Red One (who produced “Fire Burning”) and new producers Nic Nac, Kingston found himself tapping into his musical roots like never before on Back 2 Life. “On this album I felt the need to get back to my culture,” says Kingston, who was born in Miami but moved to Jamaica when he was seven. “It’s much more organic than anything I’ve done before—the music’s real and it hits you on a gut level.”
