Stanislaus County Fair Nominated For Highest Award!

Turlock, CA (January 31, 2019) – The Stanislaus County Fair has once again received awards of distinction from Western Fairs Association (WFA).
Western Fairs Association, a non-profit trade association serving the fair industry throughout 14 Western United States and Canada, recognized the Stanislaus County Fair with eight awards overall. The highest award was the Merrill Award nomination for the empowHER Lounge, which the Stanislaus County Fair has never received. The Merrill Award, named in honor of WFA Founder Louis Merrill, is given for those entries that clearly demonstrate innovation, vision, and excellence.
“The empowHER Lounge being nominated for the Merrill Award was a proud moment for us at the Fair. Our job at the Fair is to create innovative experiences for our guests,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Fair. “The board members, staff, sponsors, and volunteers strive to produce an exceptional Fair year after year.”
Alkhas also notes that the Fair continues to stand out as one of the best in the United States and Canada. “We take immense pride in having a Fair that is not only community driven, but also produces outstanding entertainment,” said Alkhas.
The Fair picked up four first place awards, one second place awards, and two third place awards from WFA, which included:
First Place:
• Give It Your Best Shot- photo of the Carnival.
• Give It Your Best Shot- Photo of the Animals
• New Children’s Program- Stanislaus County Fair’s Kids Club program.
• Inspiring Collaboration – The empowHER Lounge collaboration with Vintage Faire Mall; Women’s Education and Leadership League; Yonan’s Jewelers; KHOP @95.1; Toni & Guy.
Second Place:
• Television Ad: The 60 second commercial used in all advertising.
Third Place:
• New Sponsorship Program: The Baby Care Center sponsored by Honey’s Air and Solar, Mark Nelson Law Office, and Bayou Restaurant.
• Give It Your Best Shop: Photo of our Community.

The 2019 Stanislaus County Fair opens Friday, July 12th for a 10-day run. Fair guests can count on an award-winning experience that has been over 108 years in the making. Discounted Fair admission tickets, unlimited ride wristbands, and the Fair season pass will be on sale beginning Saturday, April 20, 2019. The 2019 Fair will feature a hands-on children’s play area presented by Sky Trek Aviation. The Fair will also host 10-nights of free celebrity concerts included with Fair admission, a total of three stages of live entertainment, upwards of 30,000 local exhibits and over 1,750 animals. Metal-mashing motorsports and rodeo in the FoodMaxx Arena will also be featured.

“Fall” for Clay Walker at the Stanislaus County Fair

Turlock, CA (January 17, 2019) – Clay Walker will take the stage at the 2019 Stanislaus County Fair this summer.

The amazing country artist, Clay Walker will perform on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at the Stanislaus County Fair. Walker will appear on the Variety Free Stage at 8:30 p.m. The concert is hosted by KAT COUNTRY 103.3 and is free with the price of Fair admission.

“We are very excited to announce Clay Walker for our 2019 lineup,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “Clay Walker performed at the Stanislaus County Fair back in 2011 and is sure to be a crowd-pleasing hit for country music fans during our 10-nights of free celebrity concerts.”

REPLACEMENT HEIFER APPLICATION DEADLINES

Turlock, CA (January 3, 2019) – Entry deadlines for Replacement Heifer applications for the 2019 Stanislaus County Fair are due at the livestock office on the following days:  Tuesday, February 19th 2 p.m.- 6 p.m. and Wednesday, February 20th 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.

This application deadline for the Stanislaus County Fair Replacement Heifer sale is for the one-year projects selling at the Fair.

“It is one of our significant sales for our livestock department and we wanted to give everyone adequate time to apply and provide all the required information needed in order to show,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair.
