Turlock, CA (May 24, 2018) – The Stanislaus County Fair is the place for young women to be this summer!

The Stanislaus County Fair has once again partnered with Vintage Faire Mall, Yonan’s Jewelers, Toni & Guy, Women’s Education and Leadership League (WELL) and KHOP @ 95.1 to bring guests a resourceful lounge that will help cultivate empowerment and confidence in young women. The empowHER Lounge is dedicated to inspiring girls 16 and older to not only empower themselves, but also those around them.

“The empowHER Lounge is a great source for young women in our community to be exposed to various life topics that may seem basic but can, in fact, determine what type of person they grow up to be,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “This lounge will make them aware of the importance of their online image, feeling confident, speaking up when necessary and finding one’s cause, among many other subjects.”

PABLO MONTERO LLEGA A LA STANISLAUS COUNTY FAIR

Turlock, CA (May 17, 2018) –Pablo Montero bringing great looks and vocals to this year’s Fair!
The Stanislaus County Fair will finish strong this year with a performance by Pablo Montero on Sunday, July 22, 2018. The performance, hosted by Radio LOBO, will take place on the Bud Light Variety Free Stage at 8:30 p.m. and is free with the price of Fair admission.
“It’s rare when you come across someone who is extremely talented at both singing and acting,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “Pablo Montero is a gifted artist who will close this year’s Fair with his amazing vocals.”

Don’t miss out on entering the county’s largest display of talent exhibits. Thursday, May 17th is the deadline for all Exhibits, 4H and FFA Horse, Small Animals and Livestock. Also, June 7th is the deadline for Open Horse.

AL CIEN EN LA STANISLAUS COUNTY FAIR

Turlock, CA (May 3, 2018) –La Séptima Banda will be heating up this summer at the Fair!
The Stanislaus County Fair welcomes La Séptima Banda on Sunday, July 15, 2018. The performance, hosted by La Favorita radio, will take place on the Bud Light Variety Free Stage at 8:30 p.m. and is free with the price of Fair admission.
“Anticipation for our concerts is always high,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “And bringing in a Latin Grammy-nominated, well-known band like La Séptima Banda will only make everyone that much more excited!”
The 17-piece group is one of the most influential bands in Regional Mexican Music and is considered to be “La Banda del Momento” (“The Band of the Moment”). La Séptima Banda plays a variety of regional Mexican music, from bandas and cumbias to rancheras and narcocorridos. The band is known for its amazing records, such as “Que Tonteria.” Recently, they launched a new album titled “Making Noise,” which has placed them as one of the favorites of the genre. This album demonstrates the musical style that has given much popularity to La Séptima Banda. In turn, such authenticity has allowed the band to be one of the Sinaloan groups with the most followers. On July 15, those who are part of that following will be able to experience firsthand what “The Band of the Moment” is all about!

The FoodMaxx Arena, sponsored by Modelo Especial, will be home for 10-days to this summer’s wildest shows. There will be destruction of motorhomes, extreme rodeo games, bucking bulls, nail-biting monster truck racing, high-energy supercross, and much more!

WITH A STOMP AND A ROAR, DINOSAURS GALORE DEBUT AT STANISLAUS COUNTY FAIR

Turlock, CA (April 19, 2018) – Nearly life-sized dinosaurs will be stomping and roaring at this year’s Fair.

Get ready to tremble at a growling, 15-foot-tall T-rex; observe dinosaur mothers tend their broods; examine a nestful of eggs prepare to hatch and so much more at the Stanislaus County Fair July 13th – 22nd inside our exhibit building. The exhibit is free with the price of Fair admission and is presented by Doctors Medical Center and Emanuel Medical Center. Inside the dinosaur exhibit, we will also have the Innovation Station, where kids can go on unique adventures that will open up a whole new world, which encourages exploration and innovation.

   “Our kids are our future and it’s important to educate them as much as we can,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “By bringing in educational material, where they can explore and let their imagination run wild, we are able to ensure that they learn and become inspired in a fun way.”

A is for Agriculture

Turlock, CA (April 12, 2018) – The Stanislaus County Fair is partnering with local

pre-school through fifth-grade classes, as well as after school programs to teach students about the importance of agriculture in the community.

The Stanislaus County Fair’s “School Involvement Program” is sponsored by the Turlock Chamber of Commerce Ag Committee and gives students an opportunity to use their imagination and put into their project all that they have learned about agriculture in Stanislaus County.

Specifically-developed curriculum kits will assist teachers with instructing students all about agriculture. The free-of-charge kits include project information, a book, activities for the classroom, and supplies for the group project. Each class participating will have their projects entered and showcased at the 2018 Fair.

Veggie it up with Kids Club!

Turlock, CA (April 5, 2018) –Stanislaus County Fair’s Kids Club Educational Program has once again partnered with the Turlock Unified School District (TUSD) child nutritional program, Real.Fresh. to promote healthy eating throughout the summer and school year.

This is the fourth year the Stanislaus County Fair has partnered with TUSD to launch the 20/20 Fruit & Veggie Contest. The contest, which begins on Monday, April 9th, was created to reward students for their nutritional choices. Elementary students will keep track of their healthy eating choices by using punch cards. The intention of the partnership is to support healthy food choices by promoting access to fruits and vegetables.

“It’s difficult to change the minds of our kids about how good fruits and veggies really are,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “But with a partnership involving our Kids Club and TUSD’s child nutrition program, we can successfully introduce them to making innovative approaches to nutritional and tasty choices.”

EXHIBITOR HANDBOOK IS HERE AND TICKET SALES COMING VERY SOON!

Turlock, CA (March 29, 2018) – Mark your calendars! While the Exhibitor Handbook is ready to be picked up, ticket sales are coming up soon. Don’t miss out on discounted tickets, which will be on sale starting Saturday, April 28 at 8 a.m.
“We have exciting new elements that will be featured at this year’s Fair, such as a Dinosaur exhibit,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “The lineup for the Bud Light Variety Free Stage has also stirred up much excitement in the community, but our exhibit’s program – which has been around for over 100 years – is always a great way of having the community become part of the Fair. We encourage our guests to join in on the fun by visiting us this summer or even joining in as an exhibitor. Together, we will make this another unforgettable year!”
The Stanislaus County Fair will also open its box office to sell discounted Fair admission tickets, arena tickets, fair season pass, and discount unlimited ride wristbands beginning Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 8 a.m. Discounted adult admission tickets will be on sale for $10 (a $12 value). Kids ages 7-12 years old and seniors who are 65 and older will be able to purchase discounted tickets for $5 (an $7 value). Unlimited ride wristbands will be $28 (a $30 value for Monday-Friday and $35 value Saturday-Sunday). Arena event tickets will be priced according to each event. Guests can purchase a season pass good for 10 adult admissions for $75 ($120 value). Guests can buy tickets at discount prices until Thursday, July 12th at 7:00 p.m.

That Good Ol’ Kentucky Country at the Fair

Turlock, CA (March 22, 2018) – John Michael Montgomery is coming down to the Stanislaus County Fair!
The Stanislaus County Fair will have John Michael Montgomery kick off this year’s run as the first headliner on Friday, July 13, 2018. The performance will take place on the Bud Light Variety Free Stage at 8:30 p.m. The concert will be hosted by KAT Country 103 and is free with the price of Fair admission.
“Not only is John Michael Montgomery an incredible singer, but he’s also an amazing storyteller,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “It’s easy to hear his heart being poured into his music and on Friday the 13th, lucky concertgoers will witness this firsthand.”
