Ceres
groom-to-be will exhibit wedding watercolors at
Stanislaus County Fair
Turlock
–As the Stanislaus County Fair exhibit deadline
approaches, one of the hundreds of exhibitors
guaranteed to enter is 29-year
old Marco Bruzzone.
Bruzzone will be entering artwork for the 11th
consecutive year!
The
Fair has more than rides, shows and great food and Ceres
resident Marco Bruzzone is
testimony to that! Bruzzone has entered stipple ink, watercolor, colored pencil
and chalk art for more than a decade.
In fact,
in 1991, when the 17-year old Bruzzone entered for the
first time, he garnered Best of Show for his white
chalk on black paper creation.
The
Stanislaus County Fair offers opportunities for those
pre-kindergarten to senior citizens to exhibit their
talents in areas of livestock, horticulture,
floriculture, fine arts, crafts, photography and home
arts. Participants,
like Bruzzone, are eligible to win cash prizes,
ribbons and even sponsored gifts.
This
year, Bruzzone
will enter a Chinese watercolor, which he created
especially for the back cover of a compact disc.
This disc will be given as a wedding
favor to his guests at his September wedding.
Bruzzone
encourages more competitors to join in the family fun.
“Get your stuff out there,” encouraged
Bruzzone. “I
love to be at our County Fair and roam around to
observe peoples’ reaction to my work—it’s really
encouraging!”
