Slow it down
with a sloth, carouse with the kinkajous, congregate with
the chameleons, peek in at the porcupine! Would you like to
go on an exotic vacation? Don't let the high price of travel
prevent you from seeing the rainforest! The Stanislaus
County Fair's Rainforest Adventure is a multi-sensory
expedition through a lush rainforest exhibit complete with
the critters that inhabit this environment. The toucans,
anacondas, snapping turtles, and geckos will join you in
this 8,000 square feet rainforest, too.
The Fair's own rainforest includes plant-life growing from
the ground to the canopy! Naturalists and interpreters will
also be on hand to explain how every layer contributes to
the environment and the challenges facing these unique
ecological wonders.

Classes Invited To Tour Stanislaus County Fair
For Free!
Teachers get those calendars open because it is
time to make class reservations to tour
Stanislaus County’s largest community event.
Stanislaus County Fair class tours for grades
kindergarten through sixth grade, now in their
21st year, were created to be both
exciting and educational and afford students a
guided trip around the Fair absolutely free of
charge. The students will visit the Fair’s
all-new Rainforest Adventure, with real
animals. Some of the exotic animals that will
be there is a sloth, kinkajou and snakes. The
students will also venture over to the Recycle
Cycle, a vehicle entirely created of reclaimed
or recycled parts that is both educational and
entertaining. Another point of interest is the
4-H Farmyard Experience. This popular 10,000
square foot exhibit is where kids can explore
little things that grow in big places, and fun
facts about recycling and protecting the
environment.
