4-H Farmyard Experience
The 4-H Farmyard Experience Shows Why The Valley Farmers Are So Important
It begins with a 1936 Ford pickup within an old fashioned Farmer’s Market, featuring products that can be found in Stanislaus County. From there, you will get to see changes from the 1930s to now! Another 4-H Farmyard experience highlights where Stanislaus’ top 10 commodities are exported worldwide. Don’t forget to check out the Tot Zone with the Potato Dig. Little ones can dig for potatoes and grind wheat into flour. There will be a hamburger stand to learn how much water it takes to produce a hamburger. Continuing on your 4-H Farmyard journey, the exhibit will show how wool is spun and guests will have the chance to pet the Alpacas and Llamas. Stop by the Petting Zoo on the way out to see the chickens, rabbits, pigs, piglets, baby goats, baby cows and mothers, and many more! Don’t forget to tour the new display of how ice cream is produced starting with the cow!
Lowe’s Playhouse and Kids Make-And-Take Project Zone
Kids! We invite you to come and play in this full-size, cottage style playhouse. This playhouse is the place to be at this year’s Fair! After playing in the playhouse, take time to build something together with Lowe’s at the free Kids Make-and-Take Projects! What would accent Mom’s curtains better than a hand-painted tile from the kids in your family or a hand potted plant? Every participant gets a free Lowe’s work apron!
Musical Moments From The Wizard Of Oz
While at the fair this year, come and enjoy the beloved songs from the “Wizard of Oz” as Dorothy and Toto dance and sing their way down the “Yellow Brick Road.”
Meet the Scarecrow, Tin-man, Cowardly Lion and many other delightful… and not so delightful characters from that classic children’s book by L. Frank Baum.
Step back in time with this unique marionettes performance, presented on a beautifully hand crafted Italian Baroque Puppet Theater.
This traditional style of puppetry is something rarely seen in todays modern world. An experience your family will truly cherish for year to come.
And remember, “It’s not where you go but who you meet along the why.”
