A Summer of Drags, Derbies and Monster Trucks at the Stanislaus County Fair

TURLOCK (May 27th, 2021) – Racers and spectators, get ready to rumble! Tickets for the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds Summer of Fun Arena Series Presented by Coors Light will GO LIVE at 10am on Wednesday, June 2nd. Tickets can be purchased only online at www.stancofair.com. Join us at the FoodMaxx Arena in July for three weekends of destruction derbies, monster trucks, drag racing, tractor pulls, a car-crushing dinosaur, and much, much more!

On July 9, the TRACTOR PULL arena will be filled with trucks, tractors, and ATVs! The Summer of Fun’s first night will feature the infamous “Black Smoke Mafia” and “West Coast Diesels” smoker tractors & trucks on full display. These pulls will feature Strictly Diesel Tractor & 4×4 Pulling, and run from 120-150 minutes. The show will begin at 7:00pm, while the doors will open at 5:30pm.

On July 10, the SUPER PULL will continue the momentum! The arena will showcase truck classes from local street stock to highly modified trucks, including the Amazing Alcohol-Injected 6200lb Pro-Modified! Two classes of fully modified tractors sanctioned through PTPA (Pacific Tractor Pullers Assoc.) will also be exhibited. The doors open at 5:30pm for the 7:00pm show.

July 11 is our Dirt Drag day! Modified trucks, local stock, and UTV/ATV classes will get down and dirty in the FoodMaxx arena for a show lasting approx. two hours. The doors open at 2:30pm for a 4pm start time.

Then on the following weekend, it’s the events we’ve been waiting for: the Destruction Derbies! Get there early on July 16 for Destruction Derby Mayhem, with action-packed, metal-crushing, wheel-spinning action featuring some of America’s finest built cars modified for a singular purpose: be the last car moving!  There are no motorhomes this year.

On July 17, our second night of clashing chaos will come to a head at Destruction Derby Annihilation, presenting courageous drivers with the collective goal of destroying their opponents’ vehicles! Only one car will stay running by the end of this showdown. For both Destruction Derby events, the doors open at 5:30pm for 7:00pm showings. There are no motorhomes this year.

Bring your kids for the Malicious Monster Truck Tour on July 23 and 24th! Spectators will be on the edge of their seats on the first night, which features Rock Star, California Kid, Identity Theft, Spitfire, and Power House! Intermission will star the legendary Megasaurus, the giant fire-breathing, car-crushing dinosaur – a family favorite all will enjoy! The show will begin at 7:00pm, while the doors will open at 5:30pm. You can also give your kids an experience of a lifetime and join in on a Monster Truck Ride! Rides will be available before and after the main events.

The Stanislaus County Fair is ready to put on a motorized extravaganza that rivals years past. “We are very excited to get back to something normal, which means putting on amazing shows for everyone. There is nothing more normal than a destruction derby on a summer evening in Stanislaus County!” said Matt Cranford, Chief Executive Officer for the Stanislaus County Fair. STANISLAUS FAIR BOARD WILL HOST “SUMMER OF FUN”
“Not your usual fair”

Turlock, CA (May 13, 2021) – The Stanislaus County Fair board of directors has approved the “Summer of Fun.” The “Summer of Fun” will be held the weekends of July 9-11, July 16-17 and July 23-24. These FoodMaxx arena events will occur simultaneously the Fair Food Bites. Due to COVID restrictions only a 20 percent capacity will be allowed in the FoodMaxx arena. The fair board expects these arena shows to sell quickly and if COVID restrictions improve from the allowed 20 percent, more tickets will be available as the “Summer of Fun” arrives.

The FoodMaxx arena will featuring metal-mashing motorsports for an audience looking to get out. July 9th & 10th will feature Tractor Pulls with diesel and alcohol mods, a dirt drag competition on July 11th, the famous Destruction Derbies return on July 16 & 17th, and lastly monster trucks on July 23rd & 24th. Monster trucks will also feature the fire breathing, car crusher Megasaurus. Seating for these events is limited and only available online through the fair’s website, www.stancofair.com. Tickets are not yet on-sale, but will be announced in the near future.

Food enthusiasts can once again enjoy their favorites as the fair will be hosting Fair Food Bites to quench the fair food craving! Corn dogs, cinnamon rolls, VFW burgers and more will be available with limited hours. You can get your fix Fri and Sat, July 9 & 10, 10am-10pm, and Sun, July 11, 10am-7pm; Fri and Sat, July 16 & 17, 10am-10pm, and Sun, July 18, 10am-7pm; Fri and Sat, July 23 & 24, 10am-10pm, and Sun, July 25, 10am-7pm. EXHIBITOR DEADLINES APPROACHING FAST!

Turlock, CA (May 9, 2021) – Livestock Exhibitor deadlines are just around the corner! Don’t miss out on entering the county’s largest display of livestock as the deadline is Thursday, May 20th for all Small Animals and Livestock entered at the 2021 Livestock Show. All 4-H and FFA submit entries online now at www.stancofair.com. Those interested can also find the livestock exhibitor handbook on the website.

“With so many changes this year, we are adapting our schedule and how we approach Livestock to be more COVID friendly.” Said Matt Cranford, CEO for the Stanislaus County Fair. “We are excited to do something this summer, but only wish we were in a position to do more,” Cranford stated.

Part of the changes necessary for 2021 has been the cancellation of the Horse Show and to limit the competitive exhibits and contests. Schedules and guidebooks of the limited contests will be available online soon.
