BLUEGRASS AND TRADITIONAL COUNTRY AT STAN CO FAIR!

Turlock, CA (February 13, 2020) – Three voices in harmony bringing the early days of country back to the 2020 Stanislaus County Fair this summer.

The critically acclaimed country trio, Runaway June, will perform on Thursday, July 16, 2020, at the Stanislaus County Fair. The trio will appear on the Coors Light Variety Free Stage at 8:30 p.m. The concert is hosted by KAT COUNTRY 103.3 and is free with the price of Fair admission.

“If you love bluegrass and traditional country music, Runaway June will not only bring that, but will also bring their amazing vocals and energy this summer,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair.

That sound is at the core of every song on their debut album, Blue Roses (out June 28 via Wheelhouse Records) – especially the hauntingly personal title track. With the sparest of instrumentation and the gloriously rich three-part vocal line that put Runaway June on the map, “Blue Roses” may be a meditation on mortality – but sonically, it stands as a proud mission statement for this band as their first full-length record finally makes its way into the world.

Produced by Dan Huff and Ross Copperman, the album is  comprised of six new tracks that join four songs from their self-titled EP (including one barn-burning cover of Dwight Yoakam’s “Fast As You” that’s become a live favorite), Blue Roses demonstrates, the trio puts it, “all the sides of who we are. It’s an album with many different faces.” Whether it’s the bold kiss-off of an opener, “Head Over Heels” or the pain-soaked regret of “Got Me Where I Want You,” the songs share one defining non-musical component as well: an intense, lived-in honesty from three women who’ve earned their scars as well as their victories.

Four years ago, the three women were solo singer-songwriters, connected via the small-town network of Nashville’s Music Row.  With a slot opening for Carrie Underwood on her 2019 Cry Pretty tour, more people are discovering their music than ever. The tour – where they share a bill with Underwood as well as fellow female upstarts Maddie & Tae, who also performed at the 2019 Stanislaus County Fair.

STAN CO FAIR TO BRING YOUNG COUNTRY FOR 2020 FAIR!

Turlock, CA (February 6, 2020) – Hunter Hayes wants to make you feel “Wanted” as he takes the stage at the 2020 Stanislaus County Fair this summer.

The talented and young country artist, Hunter Hayes will perform on Monday, July 13, 2020, at the Stanislaus County Fair. Hayes will appear on the Coors Light Variety Free Stage at 8:30 p.m. The concert is hosted by KAT COUNTRY 103.3 and is free with the price of Fair admission.

“This summer will be filled with artists that will rock our main stage and Hunter Hayes will bring his country charisma to our Fair,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair.

Hayes has done things in a big way since he stepped onto the national stage in 2011 when Warner Music Nashville released his debut single, “Storm Warning,” months before he turned 20. Setting a precedent in country, he co-wrote every song on his first major-label album, sang every vocal part and played every instrument, including some preternatural guitar solos that demonstrated the depth of his abilities.

That self-titled project and his sophomore album, Storyline, both topped the Billboard country albums chart while three of his singles – “Wanted,” “Somebody’s Heartbreak” and “I Want Crazy” (the latter appearing on the Deluxe edition of his debut) – went to No. 1 on various charts. Seven titles earned gold or platinum honors from the Recording Industry Association of America, with Hunter Hayes hitting the double-platinum mark and “Wanted” achieving five-times-platinum status. He snagged five Grammy nominations and won the Country Music Association’s New Artist of the Year trophy.
